Sep 25, 2026 | Brexit was the stupidest thing we have ever done as a nation, and it has cost us dearly. Official figures show we have lost between 4 and 8% of GDP - at least £100 billion a year in exports to the EU, leaving the Exchequer £40 billion a year worse off. Over six years, that is £240 billion lost.
