BBC: A UK ticket-holder has won the £177m EuroMillions jackpot, scooping the third biggest prize ever seen in the country.
The winning numbers were 7, 11, 25, 31, 40 with lucky stars 9 and 12.
Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser for lottery operator Allwyn, called it a "wonderful win right before Christmas" - and urged players to check their tickets.
If the winner is an individual - rather than a syndicate splitting the prize - he or she will immediately become richer than musicians Harry Styles and Adele who featured on this year's Sunday Times Rich List with fortunes of £175m and £170m respectively.
The winner can decide whether to go public or request strict anonymity once their ticket has been validated and paid.
The biggest National Lottery win of all time, £195 million, was netted by an anonymous UK ticket-holder on 19 July 2022.

Euromillions Jackpot of £107.9m Claimed by UK Ticket-holder
The winning numbers in Friday evening's draw were 6, 24, 25, 27 and 30, with the lucky star numbers 5 and 9.
Lottery operator Camelot confirmed it has had a claim staked for the jackpot prize, though no further details about the winner or winners were released.
Subject to validation, the prize could be paid out when banks open on Monday.
The ticket-holder can then decide whether or not to go public and share the news.

The British jackpot winner who today claimed their £81million prize in the EuroMillions lottery has chosen to stay anonymous.
The mystery winner, who is believed to have spent the day considering whether to go public or not, will remain unnamed.
Lottery officials have not revealed whether the ticket-holder played as an individual or part of a syndicate.
The winner has become the joint 908th richest person in the country. The £81,381,673.30 payout, which saw the lucky ticket-holder shoot to sixth on the National Lottery Rich List, had gone unclaimed since Tuesday night.

BBC: One UK ticket-holder has won Friday's £148m Euromillions jackpot, lottery organiser Camelot has confirmed.
The winning numbers were 11, 17, 21, 48 and 50. The lucky stars were 9 and 10.
The ticket is the second biggest National Lottery win, behind Colin and Chris Weir from Largs, Ayrshire, who scooped £161m in July 2011.
A National Lottery spokeswoman said: "Lady Luck is clearly shining down on the UK once again with another big Euromillions win this year."
It is the seventh Euromillions jackpot to be won in the UK so far in 2012.

THE DAILY TELEGRAPH: The winners of a £101 million EuroMillions jackpot have been revealed as a food company supervisor and a charity volunteer.
It really was third time lucky for Dave Dawes, 47, a shift supervisor for Premier Foods, and Angela Dawes, 43, a volunteer for the British Heart Foundation, when they hit the £101,203,600.70 jackpot last Friday.
The couple, from Wisbech, Cambridgeshire, who share the same surname but are not married, had only played twice before, they revealed today. They are now the third biggest lottery winners in the UK.
Mr Dawes described today how they discovered their win.
He said: "We were watching TV and the EuroMillions draw show came on so we kept watching, not thinking we would win anything.

BBC: The winner of the UK's largest ever lottery ticket has been claimed and paid out, Camelot has announced.
The record-breaking £113m Euromillions Lottery jackpot prize followed a draw on 8 October.
The winner beat odds of more than 76 million to one to pick the winning numbers which were nine, 30, 35, 39, 46, with lucky stars six and eight.
The previous largest lottery winner in the UK was an anonymous player who scooped £84.4m in May.
Nigel Page and Justine Laycock, from Barnsley, Gloucestershire, previously broke the record in February after winning £56m on Euromillions.
