[Australian] Dollar Dives to 10-Month Low

THE SYDNEY MORNING HERALD: The Australian dollar has sunk to a fresh multi-month low as deepening concerns that the euro-zone's debt crisis will dampen global growth undermines shares and commodities.

The Aussie extended its losses to 95.92 US cents this afternoon, diving to 10-month lows, before recovering slightly to close locally at 96.17 US cents.

The dollar already dropped nearly 10 per cent in September, the largest monthly drop in three years since the peak of the global financial crisis. » | Reuters | Monday, October 03, 2011
