Feb 5, 2025 | Elon Musk, known for his unfiltered takes, is once again pushing the limits of work-life balance—this time by boasting that employees at his White House-backed Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) are clocking in 120-hour weeks. According to Musk, bureaucrats are "losing so fast" because they only work 40 hours, while weekends are an untapped "superpower." Musk, who previously enforced an "extremely hardcore" work culture at Twitter (now X), is recruiting "super high-IQ revolutionaries" willing to work 80+ hours a week on unglamorous cost-cutting tasks. This latest workaholic manifesto follows similar controversial remarks by Indian business leaders advocating 70–90-hour workweeks. But Musk, never one to be outdone, has set the bar at pure exhaustion.
