Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation Sells Russian Ad Firm

THE TELEGRAPH: Media mogul Rupert Murdoch appears to be pulling out of Russia just days after investigators raided the offices of News Corporation's outdoor advertising arm.

News Outdoor, wholly owned by News Corp, is in exclusive sale talks with JCDecaux in a deal that could value the company at up to $1bn (£570m).

It is understood that talks between the two companies were ongoing before the raids on Monday evening, with the sale appearing to be indicative of the tycoon's feelings towards doing business in the country.

Just last month, Mr Murdoch said: "The more I read about investments in Russia, the less I like the feel of it. The more successful we'd be, the more vulnerable we'd be to have it stolen."
