Dow Jones Slides as Lehman Bankruptcy Prompts Frantic Trading: Markets on Wall Street endured a frantic opening as the Dow Jones Industrial Average tumbled 300 points following the collapse of Lehman Brothers.
As traders moved to bail out of financial stocks and close out positions with Lehman Brothers, investors looked on nervously to see the extent of the damage following one of Wall Street's most dramatic weekends in decades.
